The New Jersey Inclusion Project

The New Jersey Department of Education and the New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education are pleased to announce the availability of free Technical Assistance, longer-term Systemic Change projects, leadership development events, and additional materials and resources to support inclusive education and to promote continuous improvement to increase positive outcomes for students with disabilities, ages 5-21.

Systemic Change

Systemic Change is a three-year partnership between your school and an NJCIE Inclusion Facilitator funded through NJIP. The information gathered through this application will help assess readiness and willingness to make significant changes in placements and practices at a school-based level.

We anticipate 2025-26 Systemic Change applications to open in Spring 2025.

Technical Assistance

There are several package options available that will each be delivered in a five-session format.

Community of Practice

NJCIE's Community of Practice is open to administrators across the state of New Jersey. The program provides the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, ask questions, network, collaborate, and share best practices on how to create an inclusive learning environment. The Community of Practice also serves as a platform for professional development, helping New Jersey educators stay up-to-date on the latest trends in inclusive education.
