Join the NJCIE Board of Directors

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of students—both with and without disabilities—in New Jersey?

The New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education (NJCIE) is seeking active leaders and influential voices from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences to join its Board of Directors. Serving on the Board is a fantastic opportunity for those who wish to contribute to the organization’s mission of building and sustaining inclusive learning communities in New Jersey.

Participating as a Board member is a great way to share your experience, insight, and skills as our organization continues to expand, evolve, and keep the conversation going on inclusive education and providing high-quality instruction. Board members meet quarterly and collaborate with colleagues to champion NJCIE and support New Jersey schools and families.

Ideally, Board members have a passion for inclusive education and experience navigating special education and school systems. We are primarily seeking candidates with one or more of the following backgrounds:

• Finance or Accounting

• Self-advocacy (disability community)

• Parent or guardian of students with disabilities

• Attorneys focusing on Special Education or Nonprofit Law

• Pediatrician or other Medical Doctor
