The New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education (NJCIE) Partners with Montclair State University’s College of Education and Human Services

The New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education is a non-profit organization that has been providing consultation and support for schools, students, parents, and other advocates, in New Jersey for nearly 30 years.  NJCIE’s mission is to support inclusive education for all students with disabilities as a fundamental civil right.

Fred Buglione, the President and CEO of NJCIE, and Tamara Lucas, Dean of the College of Education & Human Services, announced the partnership this week.

“NJCIE is thrilled to announce our partnership with MSU. MSU has long been a leader in the field of inclusion and inclusive practices in higher education, and we are proud to be joining forces around these efforts. The staff and professors in MSU's College of Education & Human Services are nationally known experts in inclusive practices, and we are committed to using this partnership to support individual, local, and state-wide efforts to provide more inclusive practices,” said Buglione.

The College of Education and Human Services strives to be a progressive, innovative, national leader in the preparation of educators and human services professionals who possess the knowledge, skills and habits of mind to work toward a healthier, better educated and more just society.  “The partnership between NJCIE and Montclair State University’s College of Education and Human Services brings together an impressive array of educators, advocates, and scholars with notable expertise in and commitment to inclusive education.  We look forward to working together to advance inclusive education in New Jersey for the benefit of students with disabilities, their families, and educators,” said Lucas.

NJCIE and the College of Education and Human Services are excited for this new partnership to work together toward a more inclusive New Jersey.
